Dean Francois for Hermosa Beach City Council

For 40 years, I’ve worked to improve the quality of life in Hermosa Beach. I’ve led the way on controlling development, maintaining Hermosa’s unique character, protecting our environment and helping make streets safer for residents and bicycles.
As a Sierra Club leader, I’ve helped stop an oversized hotel in Hermosa, kept Storm Drain pollution off beaches, extended the Bike Path and saved our Greenbelt from construction projects and being paved over for bike paths.
Professionally, I have experience working on large budgets. This qualifies me to meet the needs of residents during this challenging economy. And, I’m committed to full transparency!
My experience serving on the Chamber of Commerce, City Commissions, Red Cross, Community Emergency Response Team, and other organizations, has prepared me to work on a wide range of complex issues.

"I have known Dean Francois for years. I’ll tell you this, Dean knows how local government works and how to get things done. He has championed many environmental issues over the years that have benefited Hermosa as well as the entire South Bay. Most importantly, he is a straight shooter and an independent thinker. You always know where you stand with Dean and he will always listen and respond to residents. Can’t ask for more than that."
Jeff Duclos, Hermosa Beach Mayor & Councilmember (frm.)
